Isometry Help -- Menu Items

File

[New Project]
Creates a new project. A project file (with an extension .ixml) and project initial file (with an extension .ixml.isxml) are created. Both are in XML. Don't forget that when you chang the file name by yourself, the both file names must be the same.

[Open Project]
Opens a project file (extension .ixml).

[Save Project]
Saves project file.

[Save Project As]
Save project file with a new name. Project initial file will also be created.

[Close Project]
Closes project.


[Save Source]
Saves Source.The spaces between Source files are restored.

[Save Target]
Saves Target. When saving Target, the stored spaces and returns are also outputted. You can choose how to do it from Not Delete Blankets, Delete Single Blankets, Delete Single and Double Blankets.

[Save Translation]
Saves Translation (Source and Target). It is in a delimited form of which line consists of [Source][TAB][Target].

[Add Source]
New source is added to the present Source. Translation type can also be added.

Edit

[Fearch/Replace]
Opens Find/Replace Form. See Events for detail.

[Undo (Whole)]
Undoes changings made for the entire translation such as changings in Upper or Lower Grid or in [Replace All] or [Replace All Remained] by using Find/Replace Form.

[Redo (Whole)]
Undo the operation of [Undo (Whole)].


[Copy TM to Target]
Copies text of Target TM Text Box to Target of current segment.

[Copy Source to Target]
Copies Source to Target of current segment.

[Replace Target with Terms]
When Target of the current segment contains Source Term in Terminology, it will be replaced with Target Term of the Term. The order of replacement is, first, the length of Source Term of Terminology, and second, Score. The replaced terms have a score equivalent to or larger than [Minimum Score for Replacing], which can be set in Detail Settings Form.

[Copy All Source to Target]
Copies all source texts to target texts.

Move

[Next Segment]
The current segment Moves to the next segment.

[Previous Segment]
The current segment moves to the previous segment.


[Focus Source Text Box]
Focuses Source Text Box.

[Focus Target Text Box]
Focuses Target Text Box.

[Focus Upper Grid]
Focuses Upper Grid.

[Focus Lower Grid]
Focuses Lower Grid.

[Focus TM Source Text Box]
Focuses TM Source Text Box.

[Focus TM Target Text Box]
Focuses TM Target Text Box.

[Focus Term Grid]
Focuses Term Grid.

[Focus Web Search Grid]
Focuses Web Search Grid.

Terminology

[Check Terminology Again]
Checks Terminology Again.


[Edit Terminology]
Terminology Edit Form.


[Delete Same Terms]
Removes the same term in Terminology, that is, terms of which Source Terms and Target Terms are the same.

[Delete Terms Not Contained in Any Source Segment]
Deletes Terms not contained in Source. Whether original word of Source Term is taken into consideration is set in the detail settings.

[Add/Remove Terminology]
Adds and/or Removes Terminology

[Save Terminology As]
Saves Terminology with a new name. You can choose from

[Save Used Terms As]
Saves Used Terms with a new name. Used Terms means that a Source segment and a corresponding Target segment contain the Source Term and the Target Term. Whether original word of a term is taken into consideration is set in the detail settings. You can choose from

TM

[Next TM]
TM Text Box moves to the next TM in TM Grid.

[Next TM]
TM Text Box moves to the previous TM in TM Grid.


[Search for Selected Text]
The selected text is searched for TM. In this case, the weight in the calculation of matching percentage of TM Search is different from that for whole sentence.The weight can be set in detail settings.

[Check TM Again]
TM is searched again.


[Search TM Automatically]
If checked, when the current segment index changes, TM is searched automatically.

[Search After Segments Also]
When checked, Self Search is done for segments after the current segment also. When not checked, Self Search is done only for before the current segment.


[Add/Remove TM]
Adds or/and Removes TM.

[Delete TM that is Not Similar to any Source Translation]
Deletes TM that is Not Similar to any Source segment. This can be executed after the completion of TM preliminary search. By executing this, time for TM Search can be reduced.

[Delete Search History]
Results of TM Search and TM preliminary search are stored to reduct the time required fro TM Search. Deletes this past search results.

Web Search

[Register to Web Search]
The selected text in the current segment is registered to Web Search Grid. After registration, Web Search will be executed automatically. If Source text and Target text are both selected in the current segment, in addition to these two selected texts,
(Selected Source Text)" "(Selected Target Text)
is also registered.

Settings

[Detail Settings]
Opens Detail Settings Form.

[Customize Shortcut Keys]
Opens Customize Shortcut Keys Form. You can set Shortcut Keys and operation of term registration.

Help

[Online Help]
Opens Online Help web page in Web Browser. This is the same page when you start Isometry.

[Version Information]
You can confirm your version of Isometry.

Right Click on Current Segment

When you right click, be sure to left click frist, and then right click. Because the separation is carried out at the cursor position. Right Click does not move the cursor position.

[Combine with the Next Segment (Both)]
The current segments of Source and Target will be combined with the next segments of Source and Target.

[Combine with the Next Segment (One)]
The current segment of the right-clicked text box will be combined with the next segment. The other, not right-clicked segement will not be combined.

[Separate Here (Both)]
The current segment will be splitted at the cursor position. Both the segments of Source and Target has a new segment.

[Separate Here (One)]
The current segment will be splitted at the cursor position. The other, not right-clicked segement will not be splitted.

Right Click on Upper Grid, Lower Grid, and TM Grid

[Move to This Segment]
You can move to the right-clicked segment. When the cell is in edit mode, this menu will not appear. In this case, right click at the next segment.
